Walking Together
As homeschool parents, we want the best for our kids. We chose to homeschool because we believe it is the best choice to set them up for success as adults. We want them to grow into the best version of themselves possible.
But we can't do it alone.
No matter what your background or level of expertise, your child will inevitably choose to learn something you don't know.
My oldest daughter decided she wanted to learn how to sew. My son wanted to learn woodcarving. And my youngest daughter wanted to take gymnastics.
Neither my wife nor I had any expertise in any of these subjects. Could we have learned? Spent time researching to know enough to at least give them the basics? Possibly (Although probably not for gymnastics. Too much expensive equipment for that one). However, it would take a ton of time we don't really have and the very basics is about as far as we would get.
And yet this is one of the reasons we chose to homeschool in the first place. We want our children to be able to pursue that which brings them joy. We want them to be who they are separate from us.
So we had to bring in the experts. People who fill in those gaps. People to know and love these subjects. People who were willing to walk with us in our quest to educate our children.
If your student is interested in computers, I am that person for you. I have been tinkering with computers for most of my life. I have built every PC I have used for the last 20 years. And I have been programming professionally for just as long. I love them and love teaching others about them.
What parents and students are saying
PC Gaming Academy has been wonderful for my 14 year old son. Eric teaches in a way that he understands easily... We are so happy to have found PC Gaming Academy, it was a great addition to our homeschooling schedule this year. - Meredith
I really like PC Gaming Academy. If you're a hands-on type of learner, then this is the class for you. Eric is a great teacher, and he is readily available if you need help. There are lots of really cool, interesting, and fun assignments and events, and it's a good place to make a few friends, too. - Travis
